Maserati. A century of history is the official book wanted by the House of the Trident to celebrate its "first centenary." The book was presented during the national premiere in the elegant scenario of the Modena Factory Showroom. The ceremony was attended by Harald Wester, Maserati's CEO, Giorgio Nada, editor, Leonardo Acerbi, director of the publishing company and two of the four authors of the book: Lorenzo Ramaciotti and Luca Dal Monte. The beginning of Maserati's history dates back to December 1st, 1914, when Alfieri Maserati opened a car repair workshop at Via De Pepoli in Bologna. The business grew quickly and, in only 10 years Alfieri, together with his brothers, started producing cars under his own brand. The very first Maserati car, the Tipo 26, was manufactured in 1926, with the distinguishing Trident on the radiator. A few years later the Maserati brothers' dream had become a solid reality: an automotive factory that was able to chalk up two consecutive historical wins, in 1939 and in 1940,
